Denne sjældne grønne drue dyrkes hovedsageligt i Italiens Emilia-Romagna provins. Ortrugo blandes hyppigt med Malvasia Blanc og anvendes især i områderne Trebbiano Val Trebbia og ¤Monterosso Val D'Arda/¤.
